Utah Canyons Fox Necklace

Utah felt like another planet to me, the pinks, creams and red sandstone towering above you, and all around you. Witnessing these deep slotted canyons that seem to go on for eternity, carved out by rivers and streams. The history and millions of years that it took to create this masterpiece will literally blow your mind, and make you feel so small when basking in natures sculptures.

The elusive fox, he’s a trickster and rarely seen, he is independent and playful. “Sly like a fox” came about for good reason. As an observer they are quiet, quick and wise. I’ve always felt the fox to have many deep teachings, and is one that seems to follow me around. For such an elusive critter, I seem to see them quite often in the middle of the day.  After I finished these fox pieces I saw two foxes running through my wooded valley, they were chasing each other up and down the ravines. What a sight, and sign to take note after just working with the foxes for the last 2 weeks. This time of year, I especially hear them screaming at night as it is their mating season. Such a powerful call to hear echoing through the woods, unsure as to which direction it’s even coming from.

The fox is the Great Protector of it’s family unit, harnessing it’s ability to observe undetected and act immediately once needed. This energy makes for an excellent talisman for the Travelers and wanderers of the world. I carried the foxes energy through the many canyons of Utah, and as someone who loves to create protection talismans, I felt the fox would be perfect to accompany these beautiful canyons I hold near and dear to my heart.
