Snakes are some of the oldest and most used symbology. I resonate most with the Rebirth, the sloughing of the skin to become new once again. We all walk this life separately and together. At the same time one may be crumbling while the other is shedding their old skin. Isn't it special that sometimes the one crumbling can inspire the other to shed their skin, which in turn inspires the one crumbling to shed theirs as well. Here's to rebirth, shedding old layers, and supporting each other.
These earrings have been slow crafted using sterling silver and Sonoran Gem Turquoise. The sterling silver has been oxidized to darken the metal. This patina should be maintained with a regular, light polishing.
